This was one of the most incredible places we’ve ever stayed! The view alone is worth a five star rating but the beautiful home and perfect hosts take Half of Two to the next level. Vicki and Nick gave us complete privacy during our stay, except on the first night when we needed them and they were there in a flash! The well-equipped kitchen, welcoming treats and thoughtful touches all around the home (they really have thought of everything!) show that they really care about their guests and making their stay as enjoyable as possible. We certainly got lots of use from the wood burner and logs provided. The drying room was also very useful for our muddy walking boots and clothes. Half of Two is in the perfect location, just 20 minutes’ drive from Portree and easy access to many walks and points of interest, such as the Old Man of Storr, Staffin Bay, Kilt Rock and Quiraing. We have already recommended this place to our friends and would love to return. Thank you for a wonderful stay! - Rachel - March '18 (via AirBnB)

Absolutely fantastic., couldn't think off a better place to snowed in at times. Amazing little touches went along way... Fantastic location views were amazing we are already planning our next trip. Thanks for being great hosts., see you again soon. - Kirsty - Feb '18 (via AirBnB)

We had a great time on the Isle of Skye and Half of Two was one of the reasons we did so! It is a warm and comfortable living space to return to after after a long day of exploring the island. The fire is wonderful to dry off in front of, and the wall of windows facing the bay offers great views and opportunities to stargaze. The added extras on arrival were a lovely touch. There are plenty of places to explore nearby and is about a 20 minute drive from Portree which is a great place to grab some goodies and head back for a relaxing evening. Thank you again for a lovely stay! - Emma - Feb '18 (via AirBnB)

Fantastic location and great space. Half of two, was cosy, clean and had everything we needed. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great on our first two days - typical Scotland - wind, rain, snow, hail, etc however with the fire on and the incredible sea views - we didn't really miss being outside and the weather was a nice excuse to stay in play scrabble, read, and drink a few bottles of wine. We saw a pair of birds of prey, hoped they were sea eagles but didn't confirm - binoculars where great for looking at the wildlife. Amazing space, and a great base for exploring Skye . Vicki was a great host - the place had everything and more. Made us feel really welcome and there was even some wine and other essentials awaiting our arrival. Would recommend to anyone - really spacious, great views and really warm even when it's the opposite outside. - Laura - Jan '18 (via AirBnB)

Half of two was such a great place to go and switch off for a few days - beautiful scenery, excellent amenities and such a flawless host in Vicki. You can completely feel that the home was built with couples wanting to relax in mind and we did not want for anything. Instantly felt like home (a dream home aha) and everything was so modern and easy to use. We cannot say enough good things and are already talking about when we can go back. - James - Dec '17 (via AirBnB)

Absolutely wonderful stay. Spotlessly clean, and lots of little thoughtful touches. Amazing views and great location. Very sad to leave!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in this stunning home. The little touches on our arrival made such a difference, and the house was warm and cosy with the fire prepared ready to be lit. The views the next morning were amazing, and the house is in the perfect location to explore nearby landmarks (e.g. old man of Storr and Quiraing). We hope to return again one day, maybe in warmer climes!

Such a perfect little hideaway at Half of Two! We absolutely loved staying here for an Autumn escape and exploring Skye. The cabin is so cosy and all the little details thought through from shortbreads and wine on arrival to a draw full of board games and binoculars for watching the wildlife outside the window. The kitchen is so well equipped that we hardly ate out at all preferring to cook at the cabin and enjoy the views. We loved waking up every morning to the view across the Sound and watching the sea and sky change every day and then in the evenings staying in by the fire, reading books or indulging in a Netflix box set! Thanks so much Vicki Half of Two is truly perfect!

A hidden gem! Wonderful views in a cosy retreat. So relaxing and has everything you need. Perfect place to relax and explore this beautiful island from. Highly recommended! - Michelle Oct '17 (via AirBnB)

Half of Two is a beautiful cabin situated in a wonderful location - I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay on Skye! We can't wait to return! - Emma - Oct '17 (via AirBnB)

Half of Two is a little piece of paradise on Skye. The views are breathtaking and it is perfectly situated for many of the islands key areas of interest. The house itself has absolutely everything you could need for your stay - we wanted for nothing. Nick and Vicki were wonderful hosts - they provided everything we needed and more (we were so appreciative of the breakfast groceries and wine on arrival!) yet they remained discreet enough that our privacy remained wholly intact. If you are thinking of booking Half of Two you absolutely should - you will not be disappointed. We spent a week on the island and couldn't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else. A true diamond find!

Phenomenal location with terrific views. Half of Two has everything that you need. Contemporary with an inviting feel. Ideal location to stay on Skye near old man of storr. Not a bad drive to Portree as well.

We had a great weekend at Half of Two Valtos. Very peaceful location & the house was just stunning! We didn't go out at night as we preferred to stay and admire the views, watch the sheep & enjoy the sunshine! We would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to visit Skye and miss the tourist haven that is Portree. Thanks to Vicki & Nick for providing a lovely property for our holiday & allowing us to enjoy some quiet & private time to relax away.

Half of two was the best part of our trip to the UK! It is clean, cozy and comfortable. The amenities are modern and the property is situated on a truly stunning location with an amazing view. It is obvious the hosts put so much thought and care into the little details. Top-notch hospitality! Jake - Nov '17 (via AirBnB)

If you are thinking of a romantic getaway in Skye, look no further! It is quiet (apart from the crazy storms at night), cozy and it has everything that we needed for a 4 night stay! Vicki was an amazing host; she gave us privacy and rendered assistance whenever needed. It was really the best of both worlds. The fireplace was indeed a bonus, especially during stormy nights. Great for cuddling, while watching Netflix! The WiFi was a little patchy; as you would expect in such a secluded area. It was stormy and windy for the most part of our stay but for our last night, we managed to catch the northern lights right outside our doorstep! Great location, great host and what a great experience!

Half of Two is exactly as pictured. Book at your own risk, as you're not going to want to leave. Vicki and Nick are great hosts that leave you everything you need, detailed instructions that answer most any question you could have and if you need to reach them, their responses are timely. They're just next door, but you'd never know it. The way things are set up, you feel as if you're on your own little property. The location is ideal for those wanting to visit some of the island's most popular sites and at night you have a nice cozy abode to call home. My wife and I really enjoyed the time we spent there and hope to one day book it again. David - Oct '17 (via AirBnB)

This little house is everything you could possibly need for a stay on the Isle of Skye. I don't think there is anywhere with better views of the ocean and coastline. It was so comfortable and was an amazing experience to eat our home cooked dinner overlooking the ocean and watching the sheep in the paddocks from the dining table. The location is perfect if you want to do some hiking at the Old Man of Storr or Quiraing, both are a very short drive away. Vicki and Nick have thought of everything with this house and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when we return to Skye. Vicki even supplied us with some basic groceries for breakfast the next day. Tip: If you're heading to Skye late in the day, buy some groceries in Portree on your way in if you want to cook your own dinner as the stores in the area may not be open. Richard - Aug '17 (via AirBnB)

Vicki and Nick outdid themselves in creating Half of Two. The stunning views, the accommodations on level with a boutique hotel, and the warmth and friendliness of Scottish hospitality make this a 5-star experience. It was so considerate of them to leave breakfast fixings so that we didn't have to race off to the store and emails prior to arrival telling us of the Highland Games gave us time to include that in our plans. Perfect hosts, perfect location, and perfect stay!

After a 2.5 week tour of Scotland, this was our favorite place to stay. This small home has everything you need. The space is so well laid out, welcoming and comfortable. Having a full kitchen meant we could lounge and cook (every utensil and piece of cookware you could need is stocked!). The hosts provided insider tips to the island, left a book of appliance instruction manuals that we referenced a few times, and welcomed us with a few local treats upon arrival. Finally - the shower - awesome water pressure. Can't tell you how nice that was after days and days of old homes and old plumbing! Juliet - Aug '17 (via AirBnB)

Nick and Vicki's cottage is an amazing base to explore the island or stay in, relax in front of the fire and enjoy the sea view. It is clean, contemporary and comfortable with everything you could possibly need and more. They are both really friendly hosts and we're easy to communicate with. We can't wait to come stay again.

Paul & Sarah - July '17 (via AirBnB)

Half of Two is the perfect place for your stay on Skye. It is located on the east side of Trotternish directly on shore with an amazing view on the sea. The communication with the owners was super friendly and warm from the beginning. Access was easy, the house was clean, everything seemed whole new. The equipment was luxurious with everything you need. You could feel the love the owners put into the house with all the small details. I can highly recommend this airBnb when you wanna enjoy Skye from the very best. It was unforgetable 3 days in a breathtaking landscape! Timo - July '17 (via AirBnB)

We stayed at Half of Two for 3 nights during our Scotland road trip and we are really happy with our choice. The place is a little paradise with views over the sea. The house has most probably the best location on the island - close to many popular spots and yet secluded and tranquil. Vicky and Nick had thought of all the details. The house is fully equipped with everything you might need for a fantastic holiday. Everything is furnished with great taste and is high standard. When we arrived there was even some groceries left for us so that we can prepare a basic breakfast next morning. There was also complementary small bottle of wine. So thoughtful! The fire place was prepared and ready to be used. We had some rainy days so it was cozy to just sit inside and relax. We bought groceries and made full use of the kitchen. It saved us both money and time, as all the restaurants around are usually busy. The views over the sea made our meals even more special. The house is spacey with big bedroom, living space and bathroom. The laundry room was also a big bonus. We can only recommend the place and would love to come back again. Antoaneta - July '17 (via AirBnB)

I can't even begin to accurately describe how amazing this place is. Although on the pricy side (for us) it was worth every penny and we'd book again in a heartbeat! Vicky and her husband thought of EVERYTHING. Every little detail in this guest home is perfect. The view and location are to die for. Kilt rock is just up the road and Old man of Storr is visible from the back (east drive up the road). It was the perfect location to get to all of the great spots on Skye! The place is quiet and relaxing. The fireplace is lovely. The fully functional kitchen was a huge relief, as we were getting tired of always eating out. Vicky even started us off with eggs, milk, bread, butter, and jam. It was so nice to be able to make our own breakfast and pack sandwich lunches for the day. There is also a washer and dryer to catch up on some laundry if you're traveling for a long time like we were. The rain shower and huge bathroom were so nice and the bedroom with great views from every window was the perfect retreat. We ended every day by the fire with some scotch and wine, looking out over the ocean. This place wins the gold! Melissa - July '17 (via AirBnB)
